Activity Tracker entry:  Due on the 8th of every month.
Data not entered by the 10th won't appear on the Reveal Activity Reports and Balanced Scorecard until the following month.

What is Activity Tracker data used for?   Where does it go?

Activity Tracker data gets input into 'Reveal Activity Reports' and the 'Balanced Scorecard'.

  • Cabinet

  • Directors

  • Supervisors

  • LEAs

Balanced Scorecard is sent to:

  • Region 4, who sends it to:

  • Texas Education Agency

  • Texas Legislature

Guideline on Activity Tracker Entry:  'When in doubt, fill it out!'

Any interaction with a district/LEA should go into Activity Tracker:

  • Email

  • Zoom

  • Teams,

  • calls

  • texts

  • other communication

  • time spent planning OR writing a report OR doing research for a specific LEA/district

  • Presentations

  • board meetings

  • professional learning

  • coaching that does not appear in escWorks

Activity Tracker Clarifications

  • Data is logged in 15 min. intervals.  If interaction lasts more than 7 mins, count it as 15 min.

  • Be sure to select the specific district & campus for your data entry.  If you don't have a specific one, use 'Region 10', 'Region 10'.

Professional Development

  • PD (Professional Development) Definition -- The time actually spent in the session with district/LEA personnel.

Technical Assistance

  • Planning, writing, answering questions is NOT logged as PD but is Technical Assistance.

  • Preparing for a training session or any delivery system for a specific LEA/district can be entered as Technical Assistance.

Internal Operations (This is rarely used)

  • FOR REGION 10 STAFF - Event presentations and coaching for internal staff trainings, time spent collaborating with teammates or other services to accomplish a goal, or time spent preparing or researching for another Region 10 employee or team.

What NOT to enter in Activity Tracker

  • If the event is in escWorks or in MyPro, you do NOT need to add it separately into Activity Tracker.

  • If training is at a cluster site, that info is getting captured by escWorks registrations.

TIPS

  • You can do a .csv file upload of your data into Activity Tracker, but follow the instructions!!  Sheet must be in a specific format.

    • If you have a Monday board where there activities are logged, then the download the data from it to upload as a .csv file into Activity Tracker.

  • Find a system of adding data to Activity Tracker that fits your work style:

    • If you have frequent district interactions, keep Activity Tracker open all day and enter items as they occur.

    • Or save your items to enter once a week or once a month.
