New Hires

Professional Learning Facilitators

Professional Learning Facilitators receive ongoing support in the implementation and continuous improvement of our Professional Learning Model (PLM+) through resources on our Professional Learning site, Design Lab sessions, and PLM+ onboarding for new hires. Multiple opportunities for self-directed learning are available throughout the year.

To support our efforts to measure learning effectiveness at various tiers within the Learning-Transfer Evaluation Model (LTEM), learning experiences will be differentiated for new and veteran Professional Learning Facilitators.

New hires receive ten hours of PLM+ professional learning within the first quarter of employment:

PLM+ Onboarding (6 hours F2F)

The Professional Learning Model (PLM+) is a system for designing, delivering, and assessing the impact of our professional learning sessions. Our purposes will be to:

  • Brainstorm ways to implement the Design Essentials in your work,

  • Collaboratively plan a learning experience, grounded in adult learning principles, that incorporates all seven Design Essentials,

  • Explore and reflect on our Professional Learning Model to make connections to the work you do, and

  • Learn the WHYs and HOWs of data collection at R10.

The Learning-Transfer Evaluation Model (LTEM) Micro-Course (2 hours, asynchronous)

What to Expect: A series of six short videos that support the following learning outcomes:

  • Understand the measurements of learning effectiveness within the Learning-Transfer Evaluation Model,

  • Identify how elements of the PLM (Design Essentials) are embedded into LTEM,

  • Explore strategies to measure learning effectiveness, and

  • Set goals for designing learning experiences with LTEM in mind.

Assessing Our Impact with LTEM (2 hours F2F)

What to Expect: Join fellow Professional Learning Facilitators to share ideas, plans, and experiences measuring learning effectiveness at various tiers within the Learning-Transfer Evaluation Model (LTEM). Our purposes will be to:

  • Share ideas, plans, and experiences measuring learning effectiveness at various tiers within LTEM.

  • Explore backwards planning with LTEM.

  • Craft measurable performance-based learning objectives.

  • Revisit the R10 survey through a LTEM lens.
