Learning Outcomes

The framing of looking at how people are exiting and how we want them to leave a session can help us think about learning outcomes that are more human-focused.

Communicate not only what participants will learn but, more importantly, what they will be able to accomplish or achieve with that knowledge - the desired behavior critical to success, the transfer goals (Tier 7 of LTEM). 

Determine what impact is (transfer), design for it, and measure (see below) to achieve it.

Ideally, the behaviors of your learning objectives will mirror the real tasks your learners will perform on the job.
