Quick Guide to R10 Website

  1. Help Ticket Request link is in the site footer

  2. Login link is in the site footer

    1. Anyone visiting restricted areas (i.e., R10 Connect, Superintendent Portal, HS Staff, etc.) must enter their R10 login credentials in the login form that appears.

    2. R10 Newsletters page in site footer shows all lists where users can sign up for Constant Contact newsletters.  Please do not use Smore or anything else for your newsletter mailings. Please contact Communications Dept. to get your new newsletter template, and they’ll add a Subscription form to your program’s webpage for users to sign up there also.

    3. Help Ticket Request link, eContracts link and Online Store (Shopify) link are also in site footer.

  3. A to Z Index – site header -- full R10 Programs listing.  All programs should be found here; let the web team know if your program is missing from this listing page.

  4. Dropdown menus in top white navigation menu

    1. Instruction’, ‘Leadership’, and ‘Operations’ have links to programs loosely organized by topic.  External users may not know our service area organizational structure, so these dropdowns are another way to find programs by rough topical categories.

    2. PD Offerings’ dropdown contains links to:

      1. Workshop Registrations (escWorks)

      2. Online Training (MyPro)

      3. Free to Me PD – this lists, per LEA, the MyPro (On-Demand) and escWorks (Live) courses LEA staff get for free due to their participation in various Service Area Packages.

      4. Search All Training (same as Browse Workshops in top nav menu)

        1. Like ‘one-stop shopping’ for a user to find events & online courses related to a topic or title they can search for.

        2. Training and Event Search’ page – lists events from escWorks and courses from MyPro that users can register for by clicking the title links.

          1. Search by various parameters in left column, including by areas of interest, date ranges, and per Program (click ‘Show All’ link at bottom of left column to see full list of programs.  These equate to the prior website’s ‘Upcoming Events’ lists.

          2. To avoid retyping event lists from escWorks on your webpages – instruct your users to leverage this Training and Event Search page.

          3. Click on a title in this Training and Event Search page to go directly to the escWorks Registration page…  Note:  We’re working to make this search better and more accurate, so create a Help Ticket to let us know of any problems.

          4. To get your events to appear here, be sure to ‘link’ your Event Title in escWorks to your web Program (see Video Tutorial link below for directions).  If you events aren’t showing up, please create a Help Ticket.

    3. ‘Certificates’ dropdown – in top white navigation menu – user can log into these systems to get their certificates

      1. Workshop Registrations (escWorks)

      2. Online Training (MyPro)

  5. Staff Directory – site header – Ordered by Last Name… Contact the web team to update staff entries for changes in Title, Name, Phone number, Service Area, Email address.

    1. Contacts lists on webpages are updated by each program’s web editors; contacts can be different per page.

  6. Homepage – 3 large cards:

    1. Professional Development – goes to ‘one-stop shopping’ Training and Event Search page (see details above)

    2. Certification Programs – goes to Teacher, Principal, Educational Diagnostician, School Bus Driver & Superintendent Certification program pages

    3. TXED Job Network – goes to new system that replaces Teacher Job Network

NOTE about displaying events on calendars:

  • If you want your events to appear on the Training and Event Search calendar and the Event Calendars in your Programs, they must have the escWorks Event Titles linked to your web Program.  The tutorial here shows how to link event titles to your web program…  The Event Type field in the event title creation form should NOT be  “Internal Meeting / PD” – this is for internal staff-only events.

  • Internal training meant for staff and for PLP purposes can appear on the R10 Connect “R10 Internal Learning Calendar” found under the intranet under ‘About Us & Employee Help’, then ‘Calendars’ section.
