The Region 10 Teacher Certification Program is a progressive, flexible program that provides an opportunity for individuals with at least a bachelor's degree to gain Texas teacher certification.

Our reputation for producing successful educators gives our candidates a definite advantage in the alternative certification market.

The Region 10 Certification Program partners with TEACH DFW for financial support.

Choose the coursework option to certification that best meets your needs.

Option 1 - All online coursework delivery
Option 2 - A blended coursework delivery, approximately 80% online 20% face-to-face

Welcome to the program! Please pay your acceptance fee online and acknowledge the Program Agreement. You will then be enrolled in the 'Welcome to Teacher Certification' course.

Preliminary Criminal History Evaluation

If you were previously charged with a crime, you may have questions about your eligibility for a Texas educator certificate. A Preliminary Criminal History Evaluation is an evaluation of eligibility for a Texas educator certificate based on your self-reported criminal history. As a service to prospective candidates, TEA staff may perform an evaluation for a non-refundable fee of $50. The evaluation is voluntary and non-binding.
